Uschi's path has been infused with ecclectic spiritual traditions since her birth. From early years traveling Europe with her parents, and her eventual migration west to Ojai, California, She was educated within the teachings of philosopher J.Krishnamurti, and the Theosophists.

Uschi's affinity to India and it's traditions was intrinsic. It called her to deepen her understanding through studies of Yoga, Yogic Philosophy, Classical Indian Dance, Poetry, and Art.
After a 7 year stint with a high fashion company, Indias land finally opened to her in the winter of 2007, and during her first visit, it became clear she had found a home, and a new intention in her life.

Returning to India in the summer of 2008, she began to work with women in Varanasi's outlying villages, contributing to a budding women's empowerment project in hopes of developing a production center and headquarters for a fair-trade clothing line.

The intention of Uschi's project is to empower women through recognizing value in their inherent skills, and grow both monetary and emotional support for them and their families.

Currently based in India working with the women's collectives, Uschi travels to her homes in Ojai, and Germany to continue to spread the word about this unique work, and blossoming community.
Uschi teaches Yoga at Lulu Bandha's, a studio in Ojai, CA. Lulu's has provided fertile soil for Uschi to cultivate her creativity and nurture her personal Yoga practice. Part of the Lulu's community since 2002, Uschi helps organize the annual Ojai Yoga Crib and teaches weekly classes and workshops, when she is home from India.
