Uschi's life transitioned to India in 2008, and she has been based in Varanasi ever since. Coming from the spiritual village of Ojai, California, Uschi grew up in a spiritual community. After completing her studies, she was recruited to a top high fashion house, and worked with celebrities, stylists, and a high-end clientele for nearly a decade. A life transition led Uschi back to Ojai in 2001. From this point onward her life became focused on the teachings of Yoga, completing her first RYT 300hr in 2002. This led her to India, where she has been based ever since. Realizing a lifelong dream, Uschi began to work in a rural development program in Varanasi, training women and producing a product line.

Uschi grew into wanting to share her experience, passion, and fluency for India with friends and an extended community. In 2010 she began to coordinate Yoga Retreats with her Varanasi family. Her discourses as a guide, teacher, and mentor are based on many years of studying the classical texts of Hinduism, Tantrism, Yoga, and two decades of lived experience within these traditions. She inspires her collaborators and guests to experience and feel the teachings of India at a heart level.

Since 2023, Uschi and her dear friend Jaina Two Rivers have been hosting retreats in Egypt. With her foundation in mystical traditions, this was an organic evolution of a life devoted to studies of all things sacred. Jaina and Uschi, and their Egyptian partners host a life expanding pilgrimage to Egypt every year.
